Mission Statement
Provide emotional support, compassion, advocacy, counseling, information and referral to sexual assault survivors in the immediate aftermath of the crime--thereby assisting the recovery process--regardless of race, religion, gender or income level. We also provide therapy services at no cost to victims of rape, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse. |
Volunteer Opportunities
The YWCA St. Louis Regional Sexual Assault Center is looking for volunteers to join the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). SART provides immediate, in person, 24-hour crisis intervention to survivors of sexual assault at participating hospitals in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. |
Pre-Requisites
In preparation for their work, volunteers participate in a 40-hour training over a six-week period. Volunteers must be at least 20-years of age, and have transportation to all participating hospitals. |
