Mission Statement
The ACCESS Academies Reading Program, also known as Succeeding With Reading, builds academic skills and inspires a love of learning in low-income, minority fourth and fifth grade students.
Volunteer Opportunities
The program seeks dedicated tutors to work on reading and writing one-on-one and in small groups with students on Saturdays for two hours twice a month. This summer we will offer a full day program for six weeks from June 9th to July 18th. We will offer Language Arts, Math, PE, tutoring and arts. Tutors can work for a week to six weeks or for a certain day and time each week.
Pre-Requisites
We are looking for tutors that want to make a real difference in a young person's life and improve his or her academic achievement.
