for Peace Grant

What would you do with $3000 next summer?

A grant to pursue an innovative idea serving the common good in the spirit of social entrepreneurship.

Applicants for the Stern Social Change Grant will also be considered for a $10,000 grant through 100 Projects for Peace!

Project proposals for the 2008 cycle are due Friday, February 1, 2008.

Overview
The Stern Social Change Grant was established in 2000 to provide interested students with the means to pursue creative and meaningful activities geared toward finding solutions to society’s needs. The Stern family established this fund hoping that students’ experiences will help them understand their inherent obligation, as educated persons, to help others throughout their lives. This grant provides funding for an Arts & Sciences student to pursue innovative work in the social service sector during the summer. The funding can be used at the recipient’s discretion to cover costs of the project, cost-of-living expenses, and/or in lieu of summer earnings.

Applicants for the Stern Social Change Grant will also be considered for a $10,000 grant through 100 Projects for Peace. To be considered, please submit your proposal electronically and also submit two budget proposals: one based on the $3,000 Stern Grant and the other based on the $10,000 grant from 100 Projects for Peace.
