Group Description
JSU is an umbrella student group that oversees many of the Jewish clubs at WashU and also runs its own events. One of JSU's missions is to perform community service and social justice advocacy and to facilitate the projects of Jewish students on campus. One of the signature groups under JSU's Social Justice branch is Challah for Hunger, a group through which students bake and sell challah to raise money and awareness of the genocide in Darfur and for the Kornblum Food Pantry.
Special Events
Challah for Hunger is a weekly event. Baking is on Thursday night and selling is on Friday afternoon.

JSU will be co-hosting a Pluralism Week to increase interfaith dialogue.
How to Get Involved
JSU will host several information sessions about different Jewish Student groups and events next year. We can also be contacted at washujsu@gmail.com

spacerbracket"I think that community service is a crucial part of a well-rounded education. Participating in community service in college prepares students to be productive members of society. It allows students the opportunity to understand the importance of service to others as a fundamental aspect of being a member of any community. "
