Name:

  • Claire A. Wolff

Project:

  • The Urban Arts Café

Abstract

  • The Urban Arts Café will be a coffee shop designed to foster community building among the residents in the urban neighborhood of Old North St. Louis. Not only will this café exist as a gathering space for neighbors to connect and communicate, it will serve as a tool for the enrichment of the community by holding art exhibits, musical performers, book clubs, neighborhood potlucks, and tutoring programs. I am hopeful that the Kaldi's Social Change Grant will help to move this café from an idea to reality.
