Each One Teach One
is Washington University's tutoring initiative,
dedicated to connecting WU tutors
with students in greatest need of support.

Founded in 2000 and coordinated by the Community Service Office,
Each One Teach One now supports over 150 tutors through two programs:
EOTO: Jump Start and EOTO: College Bound.

Each One Teach One is committed to providing orientation and training to tutors so they can be most effective in their work. Special events are organized each semester to promote mentoring, new experiences, and fun!

Tutors are expected to make a weekly commitment to tutoring and to serve as positive role models.

All WU students, staff, and faculty are eligible to tutor.

Tutor Resources
Download pacing guides from the St. Louis Public Schools to stay informed about what the children are learning in school, day by day.

"Obviously, the kids are the real winners. I never really got the importance of tutoring until I became a teacher. This free assistance is so important especially because many students do not complete thier homework at all without these tutors. The idea of having a one-on-one tutor is mindboggling now. The best I can usually do is 1 on 10."
-Glenn Davis '03, Former EOTO Coordinator, Teach For America alum, and current KIPP School Teacher
