Blood Drive Location Sponsorship
The university-wide blood drives are overwhelmingly successful! We need your help to make the atmosphere lively for donors and volunteers by adopting one of our locations and bringing decorations, music, snacks & sweets for the canteen area, and any other creative touches you can imagine!
In return, your organization would have the ability to advertise to the WU community any upcoming events or services, spread the word across campus about your group or office, support the life saving efforts of the Blood Drive, interact with various levels of the WU community – faculty, staff, undergraduates, graduate & professional students, and become a part of a WU tradition!
Responsibilities & Ideas
- Your group/office would be assigned a specific blood drive location (available on a first-come, first-serve basis)
- Your group/office would be welcome to provide volunteers, but it is not necessary in order to co-sponsor a location. To encourage volunteers, please direct people to our website to sign-up at communityservice.wustl.edu/donateblood
- Your group/office can decorate, provide entertainment and table with information at this location
- Coordinate a performance during the blood drive (a musical or vocal performance for example)
- Play music or television shows as entertainment for blood drive donors and volunteers
- Promote your upcoming event at the drive location to all donors and volunteers
- Have sign-up sheets, information materials, etc. available
- Decorate with group paraphernalia, puzzles, pictures, games, etc.
- Bring food to share with donors, volunteers, and blood bank agency staff to thank them for their life saving efforts (donated, purchased, or baked items)
- In general, increase the friendly atmosphere at your drive location so that donors and volunteers have a quality experience
- All creative ideas are welcome provided they do not interfere with the blood drive operations or procedures. Please contact us if you would like us to check your idea with the blood bank agencies.
